Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque Rosé is the Maison’s prestige rosé cuvée, produced only in select vintages and distinguished by an elegant balance of delicacy, richness, and freshness. The structured 2013 vintage gives this release exceptional definition, pairing vibrant red-fruit character with the refined floral expression and graceful texture synonymous with Belle Époque.
Blend: 50% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Meunier.
Tasting Notes: Luminous salmon-pink in the glass, opening with fragrant strawberry, peony, white currant, and bright citrus. The palate layers pink grapefruit and mandarin with ripe stone fruit, delicate red berries, toasted brioche, and subtle mineral tones, carried by fine bubbles and a long, precise finish.
Structure: Refined and finely textured, with vibrant acidity, graceful richness, and excellent length.
Drink Window: Enjoy now through approximately 2040, with well-stored bottles capable of developing further complexity. Jeb Dunnuck’s published window extends through 2044, while Wine Spectator suggests drinking through 2033.
Decanting: Decanting is generally unnecessary. Serve well chilled but not excessively cold, ideally around 48–52°F, and allow several minutes in the glass for its floral, citrus, and brioche notes to unfold.
Belle Époque Rosé 2013 combines the visual elegance and celebratory character of prestige Champagne with the depth to accompany a serious meal. Beautiful with lobster, salmon, duck, or simply enjoyed on its own, it is equally compelling as a special-occasion bottle, an elegant gift, or a distinctive addition to a Champagne cellar.
