The Fun Quirk: Carbonnieux Blanc was so crystal clear in the 18th century that the Ottoman Sultan’s court nicknamed it ‘the water that makes you happy’ because it looked like water but was actually wine.

Tasting Notes: Like biting into a just-peeled lemon while standing in a spring garden. With time it turns honeyed, almost like the smell of beeswax candles at an old church.
