2021 Falletto di Bruno Giacosa "Falletto," Barolo, Piedmont - 750ML

94–97 Point Vintage (2021 vintage consensus: a structured, classically proportioned year in Piemonte marked by concentration, vibrant acidity, and significant aging potential across Barolo’s leading estates.)

Bruno Giacosa remains one of Piemonte’s most revered traditionalists, crafting Barolo with uncompromising precision and long-lived structure. The 2021 vintage has delivered wines of clarity and tension, and this bottling reflects the house style: transparent Nebbiolo expression, finely etched tannins, and architectural balance. It stands as a benchmark for collectors who value restraint and longevity over opulence.

Blend: 100% Nebbiolo
Tasting Notes: Aromas of crushed rose petal, tar, wild strawberry, and red cherry unfold with hints of orange peel, dried herbs, and subtle spice. The palate is firm yet precise, showing layered red fruits, mineral tension, and savory undertones that build through a long, focused finish. The tannins are assertive but finely grained, promising evolution rather than immediate softness.
Structure: Structured and age-worthy; classic and tightly wound in youth.
Drink Window: 2028–2048+

Decanting: If opened in its youth, decant for 2–3 hours to allow the aromatics to broaden and the tannins to soften. Optimal complexity will emerge with extended bottle aging.

A disciplined and cellar-worthy Barolo, the 2021 Bruno Giacosa offers collectors a textbook expression of Nebbiolo from a strong vintage. It is a wine of pedigree and patience—equally compelling as a long-term investment in the cellar or as a statement bottle on a serious Piedmontese table.
