From one of the Langhe’s historic family estates, Oddero’s Barbera d’Alba Superiore draws on vineyards in La Morra and Castiglione Falletto. The 2024 offers the house’s characteristically traditional expression of Barbera, combining vivid fruit and mineral freshness with the added depth of extended maturation in large French oak.
Blend: 100% Barbera
Tasting Notes: Intense ruby with youthful violet reflections. Aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry and small red berries unfold alongside black pepper, subtle earth and a clean mineral accent. The palate is generous yet energetic, with succulent dark fruit, refreshing acidity and soft, finely integrated tannins carrying through the persistent finish.
Structure: Concentrated and polished, with vibrant acidity, supple tannins and excellent balance.
Drink Window: 2026–2032
Decanting: Decant for 30–45 minutes when served young to allow the fruit and savory nuances to open fully. Serve lightly cool rather than at warm room temperature.
A refined and highly versatile expression of Piedmontese Barbera, this is equally compelling alongside braised meats, mushroom dishes, aged cheeses or a classic pasta course. Its combination of richness and freshness makes it an excellent bottle for the table today, with enough structure to reward several years in the cellar.
