Craggy Range’s Te Muna Sauvignon Blanc comes from the estate’s Te Muna Road Vineyard in Martinborough, where a cool climate and stony river terraces produce a distinctly focused expression of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The 2025 combines vibrant fruit with fine texture, saline freshness and a mineral character that sets it apart from more overtly tropical styles.
Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
Tasting Notes: White peach, passion fruit and pear meet Key lime, grapefruit and lemongrass, with touches of fresh herbs and green tea adding complexity. The palate is bright and precise, carrying ripe citrus and stone fruit through a mouthwatering, saline finish.
Structure: Medium-bodied and textural, with crisp acidity providing a firm line through the fruit. A subtle chalky quality and saline mineral character bring definition and persistence to the finish.
Drink Window: Now–2029. Highly expressive in its youth, with the acidity and concentration to develop additional savory complexity over the next several years.
Decanting: No formal decanting is necessary. Serve moderately chilled and allow 10–15 minutes in the glass for the wine’s fruit, herbal and mineral dimensions to emerge.
Te Muna offers a more restrained, site-driven perspective on New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, pairing vivid varietal character with texture and mineral precision. Its citrus drive and saline finish make it particularly compelling with oysters, shellfish, ceviche, grilled fish, goat cheese and herb-focused dishes.
