91 Points – James Suckling
Duckhorn has produced Sauvignon Blanc since 1982, and the 2025 North Coast bottling continues the estate’s richer, more textural interpretation of the variety. Sourced from vineyard sites across Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Lake County and Mendocino County, the wine combines bright natural acidity with a small proportion of Sémillon for added breadth and silkiness.
Blend: 87% Sauvignon Blanc, 13% Sémillon.
Tasting Notes: Vibrant pineapple guava, dragonfruit and citrus lead into key lime blossom and a subtle lemon-meringue character. The palate is smooth and generous, with tropical fruit, bright acidity and a silky texture carried through a lively, refreshing finish.
Structure: Fresh and polished, with bright acidity, moderate richness and a smooth, rounded mid-palate.
Drink Window: Drink now through 2031. The wine is designed for immediate enjoyment, though its freshness and texture should hold well over the next several years.
Decanting: No decanting required. Serve well chilled at approximately 45–50°F and allow a few minutes in the glass for the citrus, floral and tropical aromas to open.
The 2025 Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc is a versatile choice for seafood, shellfish, salads, goat cheese or lighter poultry dishes, while its combination of freshness and texture also makes it appealing on its own. It is polished enough for entertaining yet approachable enough to serve as an everyday premium white.
