Named in honor of General Charles de Gaulle, a loyal admirer of the house, this Champagne reflects Drappier’s signature Pinot Noir–driven style from Urville in the Côte des Bar. Broad, expressive, and finely textured, it offers a polished balance of richness, freshness, and quiet old-world character.
Blend: 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of red apple, citrus peel, white peach, almond, warm biscuit, and subtle spice unfold with graceful depth. The palate is creamy and generous, carried by fine mousse, orchard fruit, light toast, and a mineral-tinged finish.
Structure: Full-bodied for Champagne, Pinot Noir–led, supple, elegant, and gastronomic.
Drink Window: Enjoy now through 2030.
Decanting: Do not decant. Serve well chilled in a white wine glass or tulip-shaped Champagne glass to allow the aromatics and texture to open naturally.
A distinguished Champagne for aperitifs, refined celebrations, and the table, Drappier Charles de Gaulle offers a compelling step up from standard non-vintage Brut. Its combination of ripe fruit, creamy mousse, and understated complexity makes it equally suited to gifting, entertaining, or opening with seafood, roast poultry, or soft cheeses.
