Taittinger Brut La Française is the American-market presentation of the house’s signature non-vintage Brut Réserve, distinguished by its generous proportion of Chardonnay and an emphasis on freshness, finesse and balance. Produced by the historic Reims-based Champagne house, it combines fruit from across the Champagne region with extended cellar aging to deliver a refined, consistent house style.
Blend: Approximately 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 25% Meunier.
Tasting Notes: Crisp apple, ripe pear and white peach are joined by white flowers, delicate brioche and a subtle toasted almond note. The palate is fresh and finely textured, with an elegant mousse, supple orchard fruit and a clean, lightly mineral finish.
Structure: Medium-bodied and polished, with Chardonnay providing aromatic lift and freshness, Pinot Noir contributing structure and Meunier adding roundness. Fine bubbles and well-integrated acidity create a balanced, graceful Champagne without excessive richness.
Drink Window: Now–2029. Brut La Française is blended for enjoyment upon release, when its freshness, fruit and gentle autolytic complexity are in harmony. Short-term cellaring is possible, although extended aging is not necessary.
Serving: Serve around 46–50°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne or white-wine glass to bring out its floral aromatics, fine mousse and subtle toasty character.
Taittinger Brut La Française is a versatile Champagne for celebrations, gifting and entertaining, offering a Chardonnay-driven style that favors elegance over weight. Equally suited to an aperitif or the dinner table, it pairs naturally with oysters, scallops, smoked salmon, roast chicken and delicate seafood preparations.
