Taittinger Prestige Rosé reflects the Reims-based house’s emphasis on elegance and freshness, with a vibrant red-fruit character that distinguishes it from its classic Brut Réserve. Produced through the addition of still red wine from Champagne to a blend of the region’s three principal varieties, the cuvée combines Pinot Noir’s depth with Chardonnay’s precision and a finely textured mousse.
Blend: Approximately 50% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 20% Meunier, including a proportion of still red Pinot Noir wine used to achieve the rosé’s color and fruit character.
Tasting Notes: Fresh raspberry, wild strawberry and red currant lead into subtle notes of cherry, rose petals and delicate brioche. The palate is lively and expressive, with juicy red-berry fruit, fine bubbles and refreshing acidity. A gentle creaminess through the middle gives way to a clean, elegant finish.
Structure: Medium-bodied and fruit-forward without heaviness, balancing Pinot Noir’s vinous depth with Chardonnay’s freshness and Meunier’s supple texture. The mousse is fine and persistent, with bright acidity maintaining definition through the finish.
Drink Window: Now–2029. Prestige Rosé is designed for enjoyment upon release, when its red-fruit aromatics and freshness are most expressive. A few years of careful cellaring may introduce additional savory complexity, though extended aging is unnecessary.
Decanting: Do not decant. Serve around 46–50°F in a tulip-shaped Champagne or white-wine glass to preserve its freshness while allowing the red-fruit aromatics to emerge.
Taittinger Prestige Rosé is an appealing choice for celebrations, gifting and elegant entertaining, offering the house’s characteristic refinement with a more expressive red-fruit profile. Its balance of freshness and texture makes it equally enjoyable as an aperitif or alongside smoked salmon, tuna, roast poultry, charcuterie and lightly seasoned seafood.
