Few and Far Between comes from Hundred Acre’s estate vineyard in Calistoga, giving this bottling a distinct identity within Jayson Woodbridge’s portfolio of powerful, cellar-worthy Napa Valley wines. The 2015 captures the concentration of a low-yielding vintage, delivering formidable depth while more than a decade of development has begun to bring greater integration and complexity.

Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon–based proprietary red blend.

Tasting Notes: Blackcurrant, blackberry and ripe plum form a dense core, joined by violet, cocoa, espresso and licorice, with cedar and savory spice developing underneath. The palate is expansive and deeply concentrated, with layers of dark fruit wrapped in polished tannins and a long finish that balances richness with persistent structure.

Structure: Full-bodied and powerful, with considerable fruit concentration and a broad, velvety mid-palate supported by substantial but finely textured tannins. The 2015 has begun to settle into itself, yet its density and underlying structure leave considerable room for further bottle development.

Drink Window: Now–2045+. The wine is approachable today for those who favor the intensity of mature-but-still-powerful Napa Cabernet, but it remains capable of a long evolution. Another five to ten years should bring greater savory complexity and integration while preserving the depth of the vintage.

Decanting: If opening now, decant for approximately 90 minutes, tasting periodically as it develops. Serve around 60–64°F in a generous Cabernet glass; the wine has sufficient concentration to benefit from air without requiring an excessively long decant.

The 2015 Few and Far Between is a compelling choice for collectors drawn to Napa Cabernet at the richer, more concentrated end of the spectrum, particularly when vineyard identity and long-term aging potential matter. It has the scale for a significant dinner or celebration today, while its structure makes it equally persuasive as a bottle to hold for a future milestone.
