2015 Le Dôme, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux - 750ml

95–97 Point Vintage (vintage consensus: a powerful, structured, and highly successful Bordeaux vintage marked by concentration, ripe tannins, and strong Right Bank performance).

Le Dôme, founded by Jonathan Maltus, has built its reputation on Cabernet Franc-driven Saint-Émilion of depth and modern precision. Situated on prime gravel and clay soils near the border of Pomerol, the estate consistently produces wines of intensity and structure. In 2015, Le Dôme delivered a richly textured and commanding expression that balances the vintage’s warmth with freshness and architectural definition.

Blend: Predominantly Cabernet Franc with Merlot (hallmark estate composition).

Tasting Notes: The nose is layered and expressive, revealing blackcurrant, dark cherry, and ripe plum intertwined with graphite, violet, cedar, and subtle dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and concentrated, offering cassis, blackberry, cocoa, and fine spice. The tannins are firm yet polished, framing a dense fruit core while mineral tension provides lift and length through a persistent, structured finish.

Structure: Powerful and structured, with refined tannins and excellent aging capacity.

Drink Window: 2025–2050+

Decanting: If opened in its youth, decant 2–4 hours to allow the structure to soften and the aromatics to fully develop. With additional bottle age, a shorter decant to remove sediment will suffice.

The 2015 Le Dôme is a bold, Cabernet Franc-driven Saint-Émilion that combines modern richness with classical backbone. For collectors seeking depth, individuality, and long-term potential, it represents one of the more distinctive and compelling expressions of the vintage.
