2019 Chateau La Serre, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Bordeaux - 750ml

94–96 Point Vintage (vintage consensus: a refined, harmonious Bordeaux vintage offering ripe fruit concentration balanced by freshness and precision, with strong Right Bank performance).

Château La Serre Rouge reflects the limestone-driven character that defines Saint-Émilion’s most compelling terroirs. In 2019, the estate delivered a wine of richness and poise — capturing the generosity of the vintage while maintaining structural balance and aromatic lift.

Blend: Predominantly Merlot with Cabernet Franc (classic Right Bank composition).

Tasting Notes: The nose reveals ripe black cherry, plum, and crushed blackberry layered with violet, graphite, and subtle mocha. On the palate, the wine is supple yet structured, offering dark berry compote, cocoa, and fine spice supported by a distinct mineral edge. The tannins are polished and well-integrated, carrying the wine through a long, balanced finish marked by freshness and quiet power.

Structure: Medium to full-bodied, refined, and harmoniously structured with polished tannins.

Drink Window: 2024–2042

Decanting: If opened young, decant 1–2 hours to allow the aromatics to expand and the tannins to soften. With age, a gentle decant for sediment will suffice.

The 2019 La Serre Rouge is a polished and expressive Saint-Émilion — approachable in its youth yet structured for graceful evolution. It offers collectors and discerning buyers a confident Right Bank expression within a highly regarded vintage.
