Elouan’s Reserve Pinot Noir is a richer, more concentrated expression of Oregon Pinot Noir, emphasizing dark fruit, supple texture and a generous, polished style. The 2023 vintage delivers notable ripeness and depth, with enough freshness and earthy detail to keep the wine balanced rather than simply plush.
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby in color, with ripe plum, red cherry and blackcurrant joined by anise, peppery spice, mushroom and earthy notes. The palate is lush and fruit-driven, with concentrated dark berry flavors, touches of coffee and maple, velvety texture and soft tannins carried by fresh acidity.
Structure: Full and supple for Pinot Noir, with ripe fruit, soft tannins and a smooth, generous finish.
Drink Window: Drink now through 2030. Its ripe, approachable style favors near- to medium-term enjoyment rather than extended cellaring.
Decanting: No extended decanting is necessary. A brief 20–30 minute decant, or simply allowing the wine to open in a generous glass, will help bring forward its dark fruit, spice and earthy character.
The 2023 Elouan Reserve Pinot Noir is well suited to the drinker who prefers a fuller, more opulent style of Oregon Pinot. Its dark-fruited profile and supple texture make it an easy match for roast pork, grilled salmon, mushroom dishes, barbecue or richly seasoned poultry, while its approachable character makes it an appealing bottle for relaxed entertaining.
