Set within a remarkable 330-hectare estate near Pierrefeu-du-Var, Château La Gordonne’s vineyards occupy a sunlit, seaward-facing amphitheater of schist soils. Produced from organically cultivated grapes, the 2024 Vérité du Terroir captures the estate’s polished Provençal style through freshness, delicate fruit and an elegant dry finish.
Blend: Grenache-led blend with Rolle, Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Tibouren. This conservative composition reflects the blend reported for the surrounding 2023 and 2025 releases.
Tasting Notes: Delicate pale pink in the glass, with aromas of raspberry, fresh cherry and citrus lifted by subtle floral and savory accents. The palate is crisp and dry, offering strawberry, red berries and lemon zest over a clean mineral line, finishing refreshing and composed.
Structure: Light-bodied, dry and finely balanced, with bright acidity and a gently rounded texture.
Drink Window: 2025–2027.
Decanting: No decanting is necessary. Serve well chilled at approximately 10–12°C; allowing the wine a few minutes in the glass will reveal greater aromatic detail without diminishing its freshness.
An elegant and versatile Provençal rosé for relaxed lunches, warm-weather entertaining or thoughtful gifting. Its delicate red-fruit character and refreshing citrus finish make it particularly appealing alongside grilled seafood, salade niçoise, Mediterranean vegetables or simply served as a polished aperitif.
