Based in Épernay, Leclerc Briant is distinguished by its organic viticulture and precise, low-dosage approach to Champagne. Réserve Extra Brut captures the house style beautifully, balancing Pinot-led vinosity with vibrant citrus tension, fine texture and a distinctly saline finish.
Blend: 42% Pinot Noir, 33% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Meunier.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of nectarine, preserved lemon and delicate red berries unfold alongside almond pastry, praline and subtle spice. The palate is fresh and finely textured, offering crunchy orchard fruit, taut lemon acidity and an oyster-shell minerality that carries through the persistent, lightly savory finish.
Structure: Lithe, vinous and elegantly dry, with sleek acidity, a satiny mousse and refined mineral length.
Drink Window: Now–2029.
Decanting: Decanting is not recommended. Serve at 10–12°C in a tulip-shaped Champagne or white-wine glass, allowing several minutes in the glass for its pastry, citrus and mineral nuances to emerge.
A sophisticated choice for an aperitif, shellfish, roast poultry or aged Comté, this is a Champagne with enough freshness for celebration and sufficient depth for the table. Its poised, gastronomic character also makes it an elegant bottle to gift or hold for a special occasion.
